Optical fibers make it possible to simplify optical systems and sensors by making them compact and “plug and play”. With this in mind, AA has developed a +40MHz, 1550nm frequency modulator and shifter with single-mode fibers, minimizing component size for easy mechanical integration (footprint 47.5×37.2x16mm3).
